VIREG: Seventh Management Meeting

Beatriz Gómez and Carlos Juiz, on behalf of the University of the Balearic Islands, attended the Seventh Management Meeting of Virtual Resource Efficiency Gateway (VIREG) Project occurred in the University of Bucks, London, UK, on 10-11th December. In this meeting, the ViREG consortium presented and discussed about the following important topics:

  • Modules. Discussion about how to process to set translated modules into the VLP.
  • Enterprises list in order to cooperate with the project, draft design to obtain data.
  • Final Signature of the “Memorandum of Understanding” (MoU). Distribute one signed copy to each partner.
  • VPL and VPE: comments about both platforms, problems, design and final aspects to be fixed.
  • Organization of the teaching tuning courses: three representatives from each of the participant countries will work together for a week to agree on the teaching methods, assessment procedures and delivery methods so that a consistent quality is achieved among participants that deliver courses. Data established on February.
  • Use the draft mentioned above in order to obtain a list of companies related with resource efficiency where students can do practices and a list of students already in a placement.

The Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) is the European Union's main funding instrument in the field of education and training. The general objective of the Lifelong Learning Programme is to contribute through lifelong learning to the development of the Community as an advanced knowledge-based society, with sustainable economic development, more and better jobs and greater social cohesion, while ensuring good protection of the environment for future generations. In particular, it aims to foster interchange, co-operation and mobility between education and training systems within the Community so that they become a world quality reference.
