Besides, several workshops and activities were scheduled to participate with the Albanian universities' Rectors, specifically Mynir Koni, Rector of UT; Tonin Gjuraj, former Rector of UET; Kseanela Sotirofski, Rector of UAMD; and Andrea Maliqari, Rector of UPT. In the event, albanian partners prepared a seminar about the situation of IT governance and alignment in albanian universities and presented several improvement actions and criteria to be included in their IT governance framework. The main purpose of these events were to guide Rectors to realize the importance of having a good IT governance implementation and to engage them and their main stakeholders with the project activities.

This project is aimed to gather a set of researchers from four universities with a wide experience in developing and deploying ITG framework models from 3 different countries (Spain, Germany and Norway) to develop, adapt and test a new ITG framework to be implemented in HEIs in Albania. Expected results of this project include a better governance model for IT in Albanian HEIs as well as an overall modernization of the governance processes for HEIs and a contribution of the cooperation between EU and Albania.
