University of Balearic Islands
On 9, 10 and 11 November, the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) and the University-Enterprise of the Balearic Islands Foundation (FUEIB) have organized the Training Seminar on University-Industry of the European project SEMSEM, (Services pour l’Employabilité et la Mobilité sous forme de Stages en Entreprises des étudiants du Maghreb / Machrek), project approved by the European Commission through the European Executive Agency (EACEA) under the TEMPUS VI Programme.
The seminar, to enhance the employability of university students of the Maghreb and the Middle East, has had the participation of 25 teachers, including Carlos Juiz as UIB representative, responsible for professional insertion and guidance from North Africa (Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria), Middle East (Lebanon) and Europe (France and Spain).
The main objectives of this seminar are to present the curriculum and extracurricular practices carried out at the University, point out the advantages of foreign students and graduates to do internships in companies in the Islands, define the conditions of their stay, and identify the main problems when you can bring it to perform.
The project is led by the University of Montpellier II (France) and involved 25 partners from France, Germany, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria and Lebanon, in addition to the University of the Balearic Islands and the University-Enterprise of the Balearic Islands Foundation.
