New knowledge is generated through the International Congress

The Academic Unit of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) of the Catholic University of Cuenca inaugurated the "I International Congress on Information Technology and Innovation in Organizations", an event that took place from June 27th to 29th, in the Auditorium of the Alma mater.
Speakers from Spain, Cuba, Colombia, Argentina, Peru and Ecuador, have been responsible for imparting knowledge on topics such as: Internet of Things, ERP Architecture and Services, Corvengent and Hyper-convergent Interarchitecture, Balanced Scorecard, Big Data, Perimeter Security in IT Infrastructure, Green IT, Machine Learning, Computational Calculation in the Cloud, Cloud Computing, among others.
The Rector (S) Ana Luisa Guijarro, during the inauguration of the event stated that, within the strategic objectives of this Higher House of Studies, internationalization is promoted and what better way to do it from different edges, being this Congress shows of it. She also announced that an inter-institutional agreement was signed with the University of the Balearic Islands, Spain, which will allow teacher and student exchanges, among other processes.
Diego Cordero Guzmán, Dean of the ICT Academic Unit said "In its desire to contribute to the generation of knowledge for the benefit of the Austro and the Country, it is planned to deploy this international meeting within the field of information technologies, aimed at providing new strategies and methodologies in topics such as: Big Data, software development, computer systems and security, hardware infrastructure, network infrastructure and more issues oriented towards organizational management".
The professor of the University of the Balearic Islands, Spain, Carlos Juiz García, indicated that his paper called "Balanced Scorecard" (BSC), focuses on relating the objectives and business indicators with information technologies; He also explained that large multinationals have to include in their business objectives initiatives that promote green or ecological technologies.
