On August 10th, Carlos Juiz gave a video conference entitled "How to implement a Strategic Portfolio of IT Projects?" in the event How to govern strategically the information technologies in your university? organized by the University of Talca, Chile.
The seminar addressed a common and strategic theme: the government teams of the universities are aware of the importance of Information Technology (IT) as a support for the main institutional processes and begin to understand the strategic nature of IT. However, sometimes large investments in IT do not achieve the proposed objectives and projects are delayed or soared in terms of budget.
During this two-day event, of 16 academic hours of training, university managers and executives had the opportunity to analyze the fundamentals of IT governance and how to implement them in the field of higher education together with leading Spanish experts in IT Governance, among those who included Carlos Juiz.
