Carlos Juiz dictated the Course Governance of Information Technology (IT) in ULADECH Catholic University

"Governance of Information Technology" is the two days course that was dictated by Dr. Carlos Juiz García, PhD in Computer Science and an expert in computer systems, of Spanish nationality, for ULADECH Catholic teachers and other national universities.

In this interesting course the international speaker left important concepts and conclusions, highlighting the importance of the processes and assets of information technology (IT), which can go from the top management of the institution allowing evaluate and manage their proper performance.

Prior to the development of the course held on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 September in the classrooms of Graduate Studies, Dr. Juiz Garcia visited the Rector, Eng. Dr. Julio Dominguez Granda, who was holding an entertaining dialogue, for which the illustrious visitor obtained an impression about our Rector's vision regarding ULADECH Catholic and higher education in the country is.

"I think vision of the Rector regarding IT is very modern, it is why this university has reached the level you have and what healthier is that you do not stay there and continue to move forward," he said suggesting that in times of digital era, universities should have their digital processes accompanying digitization.

Associate Professor Carlos Juiz received the B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Informatics respectively from the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), Spain. He has a postgraduate degree on Office automation from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain. Before joining to the Department of Computer Science at UIB, he had several positions related with the computer systems industry. From 1990 he was Systems Analyst in Xerox, leaving this position as Senior Analyst in 1999. He was visiting researcher at Department for Computer Science and Business Informatics, University of Vienna, in 2003 and Visiting Associate Professor at Biomedical Informatics Research, in 2011, at Stanford University.

Precisely for this long and productive career, ULADECH Catholic did not hesitate to bring him to share their knowledge with our teachers and also from other universities interested in the topic of IT to grow their respective higher education institutions.
