Belén Bermejo has given the conference 'What are Social Networks?' at the headquarters of the Universitat Oberta per a Majors (UOM) in Capdepera, in the scope of UOM in the towns of Mallorca.
The aim of the conference was to publicize the potential of social networks that surround us today, as well as its uses, advantages and disadvantages. At the end of the conference, a debate took place on addiction to this type of network, specifically in the case of young people.
The UOM in the Towns of Mallorca is a program of five conferences, of different subjects, that are carried out in twenty-six municipalities of Mallorca. The UOM (Open University for the Elderly) is a dynamic and lively educational project of the UIB for people over fifty, framed in the paradigm of lifelong learning. A project that not only improves the knowledge of elder people, but also their quality of life.
