On Tuesday, November 13th, Belen Bermejo and Carlos Juiz participated in the 6th Symposium "Operating the Cloud" of the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI), University of Potsdam (Germany). In this event, Belén Bermejo presented the article "Measuring the goodness of server consolidation in IaaS environments". The symposium aims to connect the industry and the academic world by inviting speakers and convening presentations of research papers and reports from professionals in the fields of operation, administration and use of systems in the cloud.
In addition, on Wednesday, November 14th, Belén Bermejo participated in the HPI Future SOC Lab Day presenting the results of the Web servers project Energy Efficiency, VIrtuaLization and performance (WEEVIL). The project has been carried out in collaboration with the Future SOC Lab, a research group that is part of the HPI. This project contributes to the improvement of the performance of virtualized platforms, specifically, the servers that support the consolidation of virtual machines.
