Partners from University of Sfax attend the Østfold University College on the occasion of the Research Visits

On 9th to 13th April, partners from University of Sfax has attended the Høgskolen i Østfold - Østfold University College (OUC) on the occasion of the Research Visits in Halden. The aim of the visit was to sustain interest and to develop a consistent research groups on the topic. Furthermore, this is one of the main pillars of the sustainabiility of the project and the implication of researchers in Tunisian universities.

Participants from University of Sfax (USS) were welcomed by Ricardo Colomo-Palacios, as a representative of OUC, with whom they drew up an agenda of activities to be carried out during the visit. Furthermore, the attendants took advantage of the visit to work on the framework to be applied in each Tunisian university and the current status of their IT governance. They could also visit the Makerspace, the Industrial IT and the Cybernetic Labs and meet with the IT Dean Harald Holone and several professors to exchange interests in new ways of collaboration and research, among the topics of fog computing, cyberphysical systems and related. Furthermore, Ismail Bouassida from USS gave a seminar about the emergence of software systems of systems.

IT Governance for Tunisian Universities

This project is aimed to gather a set of researchers from four universities with a wide experience in developing and deploying ITG framework models from 3 different countries (Spain, Germany and Norway) to develop, adapt and test a new ITG framework to be implemented in HEIs in Tunisia. Expected results of this project include a better governance model for IT in Tunisian HEIs as well as an overall modernization of the governance processes for HEIs and a contribution of the cooperation between EU and Tunisia.
